You may soon be able to top up your Myki on your phone in stead of having to wait in line at one of those shitty machines that always have a sticky, brown residue over the buttons.
Public Transport Victoria has announced that they're trialling a new mobile system that will allow users to top up their Myki via their mobile phone - but, the trial will only be tested on Android phones.
The trial will see 4,000 commuters use smartphone technology to top-up their cards/accounts instantly from their phones.
The Age is reporting that if the trial is successful, the Daniel Andrews government will look to roll out the technology across all mobile devices within the next 12 months.
You can sign up to be one of the 4,000 Android users in the trial here.
