Queensland Sports Minister Stirling Hinchliffe has confirmed whether Queensland are actually intending To host the NRL Grand Final - following reports of a major push to snatch the League decider.

AB explained how the NSW government had a deal to host the game until 2024, which fell over after they "failed to uphold the bargain to redevelop Stadium Australia into a first-class NRL facility".

"They're yet to do that, so the deal is off the table... It was reported that the Queensland Government had thrown money [$10 million] at it."

The Rush Hour crew called the Hinchliffe office on Wednesday, and a spokesperson denied the claims surrounding the bid.
