Bizarre footage has emerged of a weather event which took place over the weekend, with winds so strong that trampolines were sent flying from backyards.

A 'Dust Devil' hit Murray Bridge in South Australia on Sunday afternoon at approximately 3.45pm, with it reportedly appearing out of nowhere and lasting roughly a minute.

"It sounded like hail or really hard rain, and then we looked up and there was just dust and dirt everywhere," a witness said.

"It just picked the trampoline up like paper."

According to 7 News, the trampolines were dumped 400 metres away.
