Last year for No Talk Day, we heard from the men of Triple M Adelaide in this special podcast Real Men Can Talk.

This episode features Rush Hour host and cricket legend, Greg Blewett.

So far, each of our guests has shared a similar theme in their upbringing, and for Blewey it was no different.

Blewey said, "I can't remember my family sitting down and talking about anything."

"Any serious issues, we just brushed them aside and hoped they would fix themselves."

It's no surprise that when Blewey went through one of the toughest moments of his life, he didn't want to accept help.

He revealed that during his marriage break up, he was getting professional help.

"I didn't want to have the counselling. I'll deal with the problem, but in my own way," he said.

Turns out creating the space to open up helped him immensely.

"It was like the world had lifted off my shoulders," Blewey said.

He asserts to everyone, "if you are struggling and there's something that's really bothering you, talk to a professional, get it off your chest."

Of the 9 people who die by suicide, 7 of those are men. At Triple M, we want to encourage you to open up. Talk to a friend, a family member or a professional. Beyond Blue can help: 1300 22 4636.
