The Ross River Dam level is rising!

This morning sitting on 18.03%. At around 8am yesterday it was 15.9%.

That will push back any plans to start pumping from the Burdekin.

The Townsville City Council is expecting more steady flows to come in over the next few days.

Alva Beach has had some of the heaviest falls in the region – 190mm since 9 yesterday morning.

For Townsville, the airport has had 126mm – that’s some of our heaviest May rain in nearly 100 years.

Gairloch getting 67mm, Bowen getting 146mm, 178mm at Majors Creek, 126 at Pallarenda and 147 at Paluma Dam.

Giru's been copping it, 158mm, and there's water over the road at Horseshoe Lagoon on Woodstock Giru Road. If it’s flooded forget it

More rain's expected today, with the clouds mostly clearing tomorrow.
