Some mouth-watering clashes are in-line to open the 2019 NRL season, including a blockbuster clash between rivals the Sydney Roosters and South Sydney Rabbitohs at the spiritual home of rugby league.
As revealed by The Daily Telegraph, the SCG will host the Roosters and Rabbitohs clash on the first Friday night of the season.
However, the season will open in Melbourne with the Storm and Broncos given the honour of kicking-off the 2019 competition.
For the second consecutive year a Western Sydney derby between the Panthers and Eels will kick-off Sunday footy, followed by the exact same fixture as 2018 with the Raiders travelling to the Gold Coast.
