Riverina's Top Volunteers Honoured
Annual Awards Handed Out
Some of Wagga’s most deserving local volunteers have been officially recognised for all of their hard work, with the Riverina Volunteer of the Year awards handed out yesterday at the Commercial Club.
The Overall Riverina region volunteer of the year title went to Greg Johnson for his work with the Cancer Council NSW, especially on the Relay for Life Committee.
Moya Dunn was named this year’s Senior Volunteer of the Year for the Community Visitors’ Scheme, while the Wagga Red Cross Telecross team took out the Volunteer Team of the Year.
