Works on the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing (TSRC) are starting to hot up, with the project due for completion in 2018.

The TSRC construction project will start impacting traffic flow in the region from later this month.

Significant delays of approximately one hour are expected on the Toowoomba Range on the 19th, 22nd and 23rd of March between midnight and 4am, with more of these types of delays expected periodically until late 2018 when the project is completed.

Toowoomba-Cecil Plains Rd, which connects Toowoomba to Wellcamp Airport, will become more heavily affected by these roadworks as the year goes on.

It is advised that travellers refer to www.qldtraffic.qld.gov.au before commencing their trip to Wellcamp Airport and allow for extra time where applicable.

Once completed, the TSRC will provide easy access to Wellcamp Airport for residents in the Lockyer Valley and Ipswich, who will have 30 minutes shaved off their current drive time to Wellcamp.
