Roo Addresses The Public Feedback On 'That' Hat

Mark Ricciuto has addressed the public backlash he's copped after wearing a wide-brimmed hat as a boundary rider on the weekend.

Adelaide Crows legend Mark Ricciuto was performing his boundary duties for Fox Footy in Port Pirie on Saturday as the Crows played off against rivals Port Adelaide in the JLT Community Series.

But it wasn't the return to action of Brad Crouch or the scintillating form of Port draftee Zac Butters that had social media talking, it was the cowboy-style hat that Roo was wearing on the sidelines.

Speaking this morning on Roo & Ditts on Triple M Adelaide, Roo said he copped it on the sidelines during the game.

"What am I supposed to wear...I can't wear a Crows cap, I'm a Foxtel boundary rider!" Roo said.

"(The crowd) were yelling, 'Farmer Roo! Where's your horse you idiot?

"Brad Ebert stole it off my head and ran away with it at one stage!"
