Adelaide's new sole skipper Rory Sloane joined Triple M's Rush Hour with Bernie and Jars on Wednesday - and he had some praise for two of his veteran teammates.

Sloane was voted skipper in a new-look leadership group, also containing Brodie Smith, Tom Doedee, Matt Crouch and Tom Lynch.

Smith and Doedee enter the group for the first time, and Sloane admitted it was possible thanks to an "ultimate act" of selflessness from former members Tex Walker and Daniel Talia.

"I'm pretty proud of those two boys in particular," he told Triple M.
