Royal National Park Fire: Alert Level Now Updated To Emergency Warning

Avoid the area

The fire burning in the Royal National Park near Bundeena, south of Sydney, has been updated to an Emergency Warning. 

Shortly after 2:30pm, the NSW Rural Fire Service released this update:

Motorists are advised to avoid the area, with ALL entrances into the park closed including; Princess Highway and Faarnell Avenue, Bundeena Drive and Sir Bertram Stevens Drive, Lady Wakehurst Drive and Sir Bertram Stevens Drive and Princess Highway and McKell Avenue.
