2020 marks the 250 year anniversary since Captain Cook sailed the Pacific Ocean and landed on our shores in the east.

To commemorate Scott Morrison has announced he will commit $6.7 million on sending a replica Endeavour, Captain Cook's ship, around the nation.

The Australian Government will spend $50 million in total on the anniversary.

Scott Morrison was excited for the re-enacted voyage, "That'll be great for tourism and it will also be a great opportunity just to talk about our history, of the view from the shore, the view from the ship, and very much understanding those two stories,"

The replica Endeavour will make 39 stops, including Esperance.
