Second Stimulus Package Set To Instil Confidence In Australian Businesses
Paddy & Rob Palmer
After a second stimulus package was announced, Paula Martin, the Central Coast Regional Director of Business NSW joined Paddy & Rob Palmer to discuss what this means for Coasties.
The stimulus package in excess of $25 billion from the Federal Government to support business owners paying the wages of their staff is a welcome initiative and is further indication of the severe economic impact of the coronavirus, according to the state’s peak business organisation, Business NSW.
The package has been announced by the Prime Minister as business owners across the country grapple with the sudden economic reality of the global pandemic. Transfers of up to $50,000 to eligible small and medium businesses will be available within weeks, with another $50,000 available in the new financial year. Bank loans of up to $250,000 will also be available with a six month repayment free period.
