Broncos coach Anthony Seibold has buoyed the spirits of Brisbane fans, revealing the progress of strike weapons David Fifita and Matt Lodge is on track.

The pair suffered knee-related setbacks earlier in the year with Fifita undergoing surgery to repair a damaged lateral meniscus several weeks ago while Lodge aggravated a partially torn ACL injury changing direction during a training drill in late February.

With May 28th looming tantalisingly closer for football fans, Seibold remained adamant that the pair’s carefully managed recovery remains on schedule, telling The Rush Hour with Dobbo that Lodge will re-join the main group next week but he won’t rushing Fifita back into action.

“We have the intention to play finals footy so have a lot of football to play so David will be given plenty of time”

The Broncos, who have returned to multi-million dollar Clive Berghofer Centre in Red Hill to restart their preparations, are unclear as to the location and opposition of their next match however, the one certainty that remains is the renewed sense of excitement from fans after the team’s unbeaten start to the Telstra 2020 Premiership Season.
