Serious Accident at Green Point

Police are investigating a fatal crash on the state’s Central Coast today.
Emergency services were called to Avoca Drive at Green Point about 11.30am (Thursday 24 August 2017) after a Toyota Prado crashed into a concrete wall.
The driver, a 45-year-old man, died at the scene.
Officers from Brisbane Water Local Area Command attended and were told the Toyota, which was travelling northbound, clipped the back of a Hyundai Getz before travelling through an intersection and crashing into the wall.
The 36-year-old female Hyundai driver wasn’t injured but was taken to Gosford Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.
A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway.
UPDATE 13:30: Man in his 40's sadly confirmed deceased. Police say vehicle driven by man hit stationary vehicle, then a concrete wall.
UPDATE 12:25: Reports one person has died and another suffered minor injuries, after a car ploughed into a building in Green Point this hour.
Ambulance Media reports Emergency services were called to the intersection of Avoca drive and Bayside drive at 11:35.
It's now understood the driver was killed in the incident, while a person inside the building at the time was injured.
Northbound traffic is still being affected, with one of two lanes closed.
