Serious crash at Coonawarra
21-year-old critically injured
Police are investigating a serious crash at Coonawarra in the state’s south-east yesterday.
Just before 1pm on Tuesday 19 March, police and emergency services were called to the Riddoch Highway after reports that a Mitsubishi 4WD had collided with a semi-trailer.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 21-year-old woman from Mt Gambier, was critically injured in the crash and was flown to Adelaide for treatment.
The truck driver was not injured.
The Riddoch Highway was closed to north bound traffic between V&a Lane and Maaoupe Road for several hours while local police examined the scene but has since been reopened.
