There's still a severe weather warning in place across Victoria as a storm front rolls across the state.

The Bureau of Meteorology has put a severe weather warning in place across the eastern half of the state, including the city of Melbourne.

The warning includes more heavy rain and thunderstorms which could lead to flash flooding across the north-eastern part of the state.

A severe thunderstorm warning is in place in the north-east in the area including 

Heavy rain is also expected to redevelop across southern districts on Saturday evening and easing on Sunday morning, moving towards Gippsland.

The Bureau is forecasting that another 20 to 50 millimetres of rain could be seen in the warning area, which includes Geelong, Melbourne, Wodonga, Wangaratta, Traralgon and Bairnsdale.
