Damien Hardwick has announced that All-Australian Shane Edwards will captain the side against Port Adelaide in the absence of the club’s entire leadership group.
Hardwick confirmed the move at a press conference today, while also saying that Jack Ross will make his Tigers debut.
Richmond are missing captain Trent Cotchin and vice-captains Alex Rance and Jack Riewoldt.
Defenders Nick Vlastuin and Dylan Grimes were said to be in consideration for the role, but Hardwick has plumped for Edwards.
The Tigers play Port at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon.
