The youth of Bunbury are in for an absolute treat next month, with Shift by the Bay now scheduled to go ahead.

The annual event, which was postponed due to COVID-19, will celebrate the youth of Bunbury with endless fun, games, activities and workshops.

This year, the event will be a little different, kicking off at 3PM, October 10th and coinciding with the Dinner at Dusk food truck festival.

Youth Mayor Bella Burgemeister said the event means a lot to the young people of Bunbury and is glad the event has been given the green light.

“YAC is really excited that Shift by the Bay is going ahead... This event is a great way for the City's young people to connect and have some fun, especially given the tough year we have all had... Everyone is welcome at the festival and we're so grateful for all the support from the local businesses that are getting involved.”

This year's festival theme is 'wave' which aligns with the highly anticipated youth precinct.

Just some of the awesome activities include a virtual reality station, beach volleyball, giant Jenga and a Chill Out zone to watch as buskers perform while relaxing with some delicious street food.

The Southern Ports activity zone will feature a mechanical surfboard, mini golf and a Freerun X5 performance, while Gravity ETC will feature a dunk tank and dodge ball.

So do not miss out, clear your schedule and visit Shift by the Bay for an afternoon full of fun, food and festivities!
