SKY News host Paul Murray hosted a special edition of “Paul Murray Live” in Toowoomba last night.

The show “Our Town” was held at the Cube Hotel with around 150 people in attendance who were entertained by Australian country music favourite, Adam Harvey.

Murray heard concerns and stories from Toowoomba residents, which he will take to elected representatives in Canberra.  He said that from the show he had a clear idea of what “the joint wants” – enough to take to Canberra and get it on the agenda.

The major concern was of course the devastating effect that the drought has had on the region.

Teaming with Harvey Norman and the CWA in a fundraising effort, $40,000 is now going to drought relief.

He described residents of region as having a “relentless can-do, have-to-do spirit which was on absolute display last night. These are wonderful, normal people."

Paul Murray Live Our Town will continue his travels of several other regional towns across Australia.

You can catch Paul Murray Live on Sky News, on Foxtel, and on Sky News on WIN.
