There's plenty of disappointed Red Hot Chili Peppers fans after their Hunter Valley gig next February sold out within minutes.

We're already seeing some tickets being re-sold with a massive mark up, including General Admission tickets going for $1000.

Ticketmaster has come under fire for double dipping with handling fees for both the original sale and then the re-sale.

Meantime a cheeky Facebook group called Jump the Fence to the Red Hot Chili Pepper has been set up.

So far over 6,000 people have said they're attending and a further 21,000 are interested.

The Hope Estate concert will be the Chili Peppers first in the Hunter or Newcastle.
