Some People Don't Realise How Lucky We Are
Stop Complaining !!!!
“TRAVEL IS FATAL TO PREJUDICE, BIGOTRY, AND NARROW MINDEDNESS, AND MANY OF OUR PEOPLE NEED IT SORELY ON THESE ACCOUNTS.” ~ MARK TWAIN
I love travelling and intend doing a lot more of it, after the lotto people find my number, however the coming home is so sweet.
After 2 weeks in Thailand, a place I adore my perspective on a number of issues is solidified.
Firstly, I wish more people realised how damned lucky we are to live in this country, the air is mostly clear given of course the horrendous fires we’re suffering, and the streets are safe, apart from the Bunbury drivers who have forgotten where the blinker signal is.
What is it that makes some people whinge about almost anything?
In the last 2 weeks I’ve been a little out of touch but a few things struck me, people complaining about how Coles is packaging meat for goodness sake and a handful of nay sayers got stuck into Twiggy Forrest because he ONLY donated $70 millon!
I’ll say it right here…..FFS
I wish I could gather up these pratts and take them to see what the quality of life is like in Bangkok and rural Thailand, I would hope it might make them stretch their feeble minds a little and make them realise we’re doing OK.
Could things be better, without doubt.
Even in country areas we have people living rough, services are available to assist these folks, something that is non existent in other countries.
Don’t even talk to me about traffic!
Four lanes of cars that probably don’t reach second gear for their entire city commute, every day, and talk about survival of the biggest.
It makes the Cockburn bottleneck on Kwinana Freeway tame in comparison.
So what am I saying? Be happy we live here and don’t worry so much about petty rubbish, the wifi will come back on, the commute is not so bad and in the main our bellies are full and the air is clear.
As they say in Thailand, sabia, sabia. Just chill.
