Retired Major Heston Russell served in Afghanistan with the 2nd Commando Regiment, this morning he joined Flan, Bridge & Spida to discuss the horrific situation unfolding.

Russel was deployed to Afghanistan 4 times and says that " it is shameful to watch" the way Australia has abandoned the people of Afghanistan.

"We are literally leaving the place in the hands of the same people we went to liberate it from."
