As restrictions continue to lift here in South Australia, and as we continue to open our borders to more and more states, we talked to Premier Steven Marshall about what is to come for SA. The Premier has his sights set on an SA-hosted AFL Grand Final.

"Adelaide Oval would be a great place for an AFL Grand Final"

This seems like the perfect option when you take into account; Port's dominant streak, Victoria's rising COVID-19 numbers, and WA's current border restrictions. The Premier continued:

"This is an extraordinary year and we are making all sorts of extraordinary decisions. So, why not an AFL Grand Final, right here in South Australia."

Roo voiced his concerns about the price tag the AFL would demand to move the Grand Final from the MCG to the Adelaide oval, to which the Premier responded:

"They might not have much choice... Adelaide is looking like a very good option. It went really well when we had the Showdown there. We are in a great position, and it's a great oval."

Marshall also talked about the next wave of eased restrictions that SA will experience, allowing businesses up to 50% capacity and how COVID-19 restrictions will affect nightlife and clubs.
