The coming couple weeks will be a busy time in Esperance with a plethora of sporting heroes descending on our town to meet local fans and share their knowledge!
This weekend Tomasso D’Orsogna will be in town visiting schools on Friday before he hosts the Goldfields Round Carnival at the Bay of Isles Leisure Centre on Saturday. D’Orsogna is an Olympics hero having won a bronze medal in the 4x100m medley relay in the 2012 London Olympics. Make sure you get down to the swimming pool and try extract from knowledge from his vast swimming experience!
On the Saturday as well at the Esperance Basketball Stadium the Goldfields Giants will be wandering around, conducting a free clinic for kids at midday before the Giants squad, including some Esperance teens, take the court for an interclub game at 1pm.
The beginning of March will be an exciting period for die hard West Coast Eagles fans making the journey from Perth to be at the Pier Hotel.
Premiership stars, Mark Hutchins, Jeremy McGovern and Will Schofield will be shaking hands, signing autographs and hosting a quiz night on Saturday, March 2 in the afternoon at the Pier, for a family fun afternoon. Some exclusive merchandise will be available as well.
