The first ever Townsville Eats event will take over the CBD tonight and we can't wait!
Townsville City Council are excited to unveil the first edition of the monthly event which will feature a variety of food stalls, live music, entertainment, and an open-air cinema.
Townsville Mayor Jenny Hill said it will be a wonderful night in the city.
“This is another example of how Council continues to provide events that showcase our CBD and provide a great mix of activities and entertainment for people of all ages,” Cr Hill said.
“We’ll have a wide variety of food and entertainment on Flinders Street and it’s a great way to support businesses and boost the economy.
“We had a false start on our first attempt due to the weather but it has given us more time to make the event bigger and better.
“The response to Townsville Eats has been fantastic so far and I look forward to seeing the people of Townsville come out in force to support tonight’s event.”
Parking won't be a hassle either, with a Park n Ride service running from Dean Street carpark to Stanley Street from 4pm until midnight getting you to and from the event.
