Political journalist Steve Price says that Scott Morrison’s response to the recent bushfire crisis has stamped his papers as a politician.

“I think this has cooked Scott Morrison’s political career, I think he’s done and dusted,” Price said on the Hot Breakfast.
“I don’t think there’s any way back for him… going to Hawaii first, we’ve been through all that, that was stupid.
“And then to say ‘I don’t hold a firehose, it’s not my job to put out a fire’? Dumb comment.
“I think Australians, the ones that elected him last year, the quiet Australians they were called, they’ve got very long memories.
“And when the next election comes around, they’ll remember this bloke gave them no political leadership.”
