Melbourne recruit Steven May has been offered a one match suspension for his high bump on Brisbane’s Jarrod Berry.

May’s hit on Berry was assessed as careless conduct, with medium impact to the head.

Freo’s Brandon Matera has also been offered a one match ban for striking West Coast’s Jake Waterman.

Six others charges were laid, with Port Adelaide’s Todd Marshall, Hawthorn’s Liam Shiels and St Kilda’s Dean Kent all stung $2000, while Clayton Oliver can cop $1500 for striking Jarryd Lyons.

Demon Aaron vandenBerg has been fined $3000 in total for two separate incidents — $2000 for striking Lachie Neale and $1000 for making careless contact with umpire David Harris.
