Steve Johnson just helped GWS pull off an implausible win for over Collingwood at Spotless Stadium.
The Giants looked in real strife late in the first term before Stevie J’s late goal got them over the line.
They were up against it from early when key back Aidan Corr got knocked out in the first ten seconds, and things looked worse when the Pies took a 26 point lead in to half time.
The Giants booted six goals to two in the second term, but lost forward Sam Reid to concussion.
Things looked bleak in the last term with Collingwood the fresher side, with Brayden Maynard sinking huge goals like this one:
It looked even worse when Stephen Coniglio had to limp off with an ankle injury in the fourth quarter, and with less than a minute to go the game looked out of the Giants’ grasp.
But then Stevie J had the final say, and didn’t he love it:
A remarkable win for GWS given they had only one on the bench.
