The Suncorp Stadium groundkeeper, Malcolm Caddies, has described the Magic Round weekend as an absolute nightmare with eight games of footy played across the field in just four days.

LISTEN HERE:

"Jordan Rapana left the field with a knee injury and what I can tell you is the grounds-man Malcolm Caddies who I spoke to literally two-hours ago and he said it's been an absolute nightmare from a surface perspective," Triple M's Ben Dobbin said.

"In a normal weekend they might have the Reds on a Friday night, the Rugby side, and the Broncos on a Saturday and they get at least an eight day turnaround."

The scrutiny has been heightened after a few injuries over the course of the weekend, including Rapana, Latrell Mitchell and Josh Hodgson.
