Police are on the hunt for arsonists, after fires broke out at two Gold Coast schools in just two days.
Fire fighters were called to Miami State School in Mermaid Waters around 7:20 on Wednesday night, to reports of a small fire in one of the classrooms.
The blaze was extinguished quickly, with the building only sustaining minor smoke and structural damage.
Then on Friday night, around 9:15, another fire broke out, this time in a classroom at St Vincent's Primary School in Clear Island Waters.
Again, the fire was put with no structural damaged caused, but there was some smoke damage to the building.
Detectives are treating both blazes as suspicious.
In both situations, investigators said they believed flammable material was shoved under the classroom door and set alight.
Anyone with information about the incidents or who may have witnessed anything suspicious is asked to contact police.
