NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has slammed the riot of protestors that stormed Sydney’s CBD last Saturday in protest of Sydney’s latest lockdown.

3000 dimwits flouted lockdown rules, antagonising police and causing chaos on the streets. Sydney has certainly lost its mind.

"When you see yesterdays activities with thousands of people doing the wrong thing it just breaks your heart," Berejiklian said.

So far, 57 people involved have been charged and police have promised they’ll be looking to prosecute everyone involved.

Meanwhile, the anxious wait for an update on the roadmap out of lockdown will soon be over with Berejiklian confirming we’ll know more in the coming days. But she also warned the outcome will require Sydney to be compliant, not defiant.

“This week we’ll be communicating what life beyond July 31 and for the next few weeks looks like,” she said.

“What we all know is until we get high rates of vaccination not just in New South Wales but across Australia we have to live with some level of restrictions. The delta strain is so contagious,” Berejiklian continued.
