The 17 year old was nabbed around 8.30am when the Subaru he was driving was spotted by officers in an undercover police car, who rammed the vehicle and it crashed into a tree.

It's believed the car was stolen from Reedy Creek on April 8, before two Queensland number plates were stolen from Worongary and Yatala.

The driver allegedly tried to get other motorists to pull over, driving alongside them while wearing a Queensland Police Service cap.

The car has also allegedly been involved in a number of dangerous driving offences.

Investigations continue.
