Teenager Rescued from Rocks by Westpac Chopper

A teenager is recovering in hospital after being winched from rocks near Wooli on Tuesday afternoon.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called in to conduct a winch rescue of the 14 year old boy due to difficult access at the location.

The teenager suffered an ankle injury, making it difficult to attempt to walk him out.

He was flown to Coffs Harbour Airport, where he was then taken by road ambulance to the Coffs Harbour Base Hospital.

He is in a stable condition.
