Last Thursday (December 6) night was far from a quiet one in the streets of East Toowoomba after a group of teens went on a reckless driving rampage.

Two juveniles involved in the incident have fronted the Toowoomba Children’s Court.

A 15-year-old Silkstone boy and his 16-year-old co-conspirator from Newtown have both been charged with unlawfully using motor vehicles while the 15-year-old is also charged with stealing and wilful damage.

The Silkstone boy was denied bail and held in detention, the court taking into consideration that he at the age of just 15, already had an 11 page criminal history and was on probation at the time of the incident.

The 16-year-old co-accused was granted bail to live with his aunt in Newtown and abide by conditions.

Both matters were adjourned for mention back in Toowoomba Children's Court on December 20.
