"That’s the risk you take" | Adam Reynolds Responds to Haas Bombshell

In the wake of this afternoon’s bombshell surrounding Payne Haas’ immediate future at the Broncos, captain Adam Reynolds has offered an empathetic view of the situation.

Speaking on The Rush Hour with Leisel, Liam and Dobbo the skipper told listeners that he spoke to Haas privately after the twenty-two-year-old requested immediate release from the club. Reynolds explaining that he can understand the NSW prop’s decision.

“It’s sort of a hard one to speak on, obviously Payne is a great player who probably signed for a lot less than what he’s worth and that’s through his management or the club..”

Haas is contracted until 2024 and has reportedly turned down an extension worth over $1 million per season. Reynolds, who will miss tomorrow night’s clash with the Titans with a hamstring injury, reassured fans that the three-time Paul Morgan medalist will line-up tomorrow night at Suncorp Stadium.
