Today we're flashing back to a simpler time, when Rove had his own TV show and Aussie rockers Grinspoon were in the midst of their run of awesome album releases.

The year was 2003. Rove just signed off with his classic "Say hi to your Mum for me" phrase, and the Lismore rockers closed out the show with a rollicking, rocking version of the seminal INXS classic, Don't Change.

What a ripper!

The performance is classic Grinspoon. The band nail the music side of things just fine (note perfect!), allowing lead singer Phil Jamieson to deliver an understated, yet perfect vocal performance.

Of course, we're approaching the 20 year anniversary of that tragic day in 1997, when the world found out that Michael Hutchence had sadly passed away. So seeing Aussie rock Gods paying homage to fellow Aussie rock Gods puts a smile on our collective dials.

Even if this clip is almost 15 years old ;)

Grinspoon are at the end of their HUGE Guide To A Better Living national tour.
