The Sydney Roosters have lead the competition when it comes to creative recruitment solutions, namely their signing of Sonny Bill Williams last year. Now another one of his All Blacks teammates could be poised to follow suit.

Currently, the club is looking to fill the void left by Jake Friend who medically retired due to ongoing battles with concussion and All Blacks five-eighth is reportedly very interested in switching to the thirteen-made code.

Former Wallabies fullback and The Big Breakfast host Greg Martin told listeners this morning that should the Roosters be successful in acquiring the services of twenty-nine-year-old it could revolutionise the dummy half role.

Perenara is currently plying his trade for Japanese club side Red Hurricanes up until the end of the season on May 23rd and is off contract with the All Blacks at the end of the year.
