The citation for this event coming up on Thursday, May 2 at the Esperance Civic Centre is as follows:

"If theatre met stand-up comedy in a smoky bar one night and, after a few drinks, found themselves in a compromising position in the back of a clapped out '67 Volkswagen, the result of this sordid tryst would be The Big HOO-HAA!"

Need I say more!

Of course I do!

Esperance is regularly starved of comedy about town, especially when it is flavoured with improvisation. In the same style of 'Thank God you're here' and 'Who's line is it anyway', two teams play games and fight for points and the crowd's approval. It's incredibly interactive, with audience members asked to provide characters and topics to aid the theatre games.

To get a full wrap and feel of the event Sean spoke to one of the actors and the brainchild of this event SAM LONGLEY on the Breakfast Show. Check it out at the audio below, 13 minutes in. He explains the details and what a 'HOO HAA' actually is!

Doors open at 7pm for an 8pm start. Tickets cost $17.50 for a ticket and can be purchased here.
