Nearly 30 years after first forming, The Cranberries have returned with the first single from their eighth and final album, In The End.

The song, Wake Me When It's Over, comes a year on from the unexpected passing of singer Dolores O'Riordan.

Speaking about the song, lead guitarist Noel Hogan said it was a demo recorded by Dolores before her passing.

“This was a song Dolores had been working on for a little while.”

“It’s a fun song to play and it’s bright and quite uplifting. It’s very much a classic Dolores song with a soft verse and a massive chorus.”
