The Broncos retention and recruitment committee has under scrutiny over the last twelve months for its failure to keep top talent at Red Hill and the long memories of club’s fan base is set to be tested with the club reportedly flagging interest in one of the one’s that got away.

Speaking on The Big Breakfast this morning NRL insider Dobbo told Marto and Margaux that Eels five-eighth Mitchell Moses has come onto Broncos radar as they wait on playmaker Tom Dearden to make a call on his future. However, the club could’ve had the cousin of player manager Isaac Moses four years ago if it weren’t for Wayne Bennett.

“He was offered to the Brisbane Broncos and they said ‘no’…if they get him it’ll be triple the price of what they could have (had him for)”

Tom Dearden is being hotly pursued by the North Queensland Cowboys who are rebuilding their halves combination following the medical retirement of Michael Morgan and subsequent signing of former Shark Chad Townsend. Dearden not yet been offered a new deal by Brisbane.
