This might be the only way many of us will ever own property on Hedges Avenue!

The Gold Coast is getting its very own Monopoly board, and you can help decide which of our iconic landmarks will feature on it!

The game is due out in October, and from today until September locals will be able to vote on which locations they want to see on the board.

The most popular will get pride of position; the coveted dark blue squares which are normally taken up by London's Mayfair and Park Lane.

Gold Coast Acting Mayor, Donna Gates has cast her vote.

“There's no doubt that the Gold Coast is renowned for its natural beauty, so I imagine Broadbeach and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary will be on the list of contenders for the coveted spots," she said.

The Gold Coast Titans were at the launch this morning, hoping their home, Cbus Super Stadium makes it onto the board, while our iconic Meter Maids are backing the famous Cavill Avenue.

You can already preorder the Gold Coast Monopoly on some games websites.

There was a previous limited edition of Gold Coast Monopoly back in 2003.
