The HMAS Paluma is currently berthed in Townsville and has officially been decommissioned, which means the vessel has finished its serviced.

To honour the long service of the vessel, the Paluma will do a final Freedom of Entry march into the township of Paluma.

Pricey had a chat with the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Commander Craig Hamilton about the ship and what its meant to the community.

CO Hamilton explains to us what exactly the survey vessel was used for and tells us all about the ship's history including the very first Paluma vessel back in the 1800's.
