Anyone heading on the M2 this afternoon is in for a bit of a headache, with emergency roadworks causing massive queues.
Two out of three eastbound lanes are closed just past Windsor Road.
Traffic is heavy back onto the M7 at Kings Langley.
Drivers are advised to use an alternative route or allow lots of extra travel time.
There are currently queues of 12km, with the speed limit reduced to 40km/h.
It is understood that the roadwork is due to potholes.
