Mystify: Michael Hutchence on Facebook

Not even a week after the first tease, INXS fans have got another glimpse into what could be expected from the forthcoming documentary about Michael Hutchence, entitled Mystify: Michael Hutchence.

Last week, Hutchence's close friend Richard Lowenstein shared some rare footage of Hutchence on a rooftop talking about the Divinyls. Since then, he's not only released another short tidbit showing Hutchence introducing a Saints song, but also shared multiple takes from the Max-Q film clip Sometimes.

For the uninitiated, Hutchence created a band with Melbourne underground legend Ollie Olsen way back in 1989 called Max-Q. The band released three singles from their one and only self-titled album. Sometimes was one of the three singles.

It's clearly teasing to some more concrete news on when we can expect this much anticipated biopic about the late, great Aussie singer, and we're bloody loving it.

It also shows that Lowenstein has a lot of footage of Hutchence, which makes sense as Lowenstein pretty much made all of INXS' film clips in their heyday.

We did a bit more Googling since last week, and we found this site at the Screen Australia website, which points towards a 2019 release date.

Either way, every INXS fan worth their salt will be frothing at the thought of a fresh documentary about one of Aussie's finest, made with care by a mate of the band. Can't wait!

For all that matters in rock news this week:
