The New Australian Lamb Ad Is Here & It's Pitching Hard For Us To Team Up With New Zealand

There are only three certainties in life: Death, taxes, and a somewhat controversial Australian Lamb ad dropping ahead of January 26.

But while last year's MLA ad leant heavily on political differences - solved, naturally, by chops - this year's gives our government equal billing alongside our recent sport performances and our (supposed) theft of pavlova in the firing line.

"We used to be the greatest country on earth," says Gary, whose role is somewhat ambiguous. "But we've lost the plot.

"We're cheating at sport, we can't even hold onto a Prime Minister."

The solution? Merging New Zealand (who are "doing Australia better than Australia") with our fine country to create New Australialand.

So Gary and his colleague head out to an oceanic barbecue armed with inflatables and Australian lamb, and propose the union to a bunch of Kiwis who just happen to be floating past.

"I guess we better check with Jacinda [Ardern, Prime Minister] first," one says.
