The Popular North Queensland Camping Spot That Is Off Limits For Easter

One of our favourite camping spots won't be making an appearance on our Facebook newsfeed this Easter.

Lake Paluma continues to be off limits to the public, following wet weather and damaged roads.

Mount Spec Forestry Road accessing Lake Paluma and the camp ground is still closed and isn't expected to open until May 1.

That means it's a no-go zone for the school holidays which wrap up on Monday April 22.

The 12km stretch of road from the Paluma township to the Lake has seen better days, and will hopefully be ready for the public to enjoy ASAP!

Camping at Lake Paluma is only allowed for those who have a permit, if you don't have one you aren't guaranteed a spot at the gorgeous location which is patrolled regularly by Council Rangers.

For more details on Lake Paluma and booking your spot, check out Council's website
