As lock down measures continue to ease, we are reminded to remain the vigilant in the fight against COVID-19 by practicing social distancing and good hygiene and of course, downloading the Federal Government’s COVIDSafe App.

However, there is just one small problem with the government’s mobile safeguard – Australia does not have enough active cases of COVID-19 for it to be totally effective.

Speaking on The Big Breakfast this morning, tech guru Trevor Long from EFTM.com told Marto, Margaux and Nick Cody that unfortunately the app just isn’t receiving enough data from the six million Australians that have downloaded it.   

“The challenge here is we have so little usage of the data that we don’t know how well it’s working” Long said.

While this sounds like a nice problem to have, it does actually present a larger challenge if we want to life to return back to normal, here’ why:
