If Broncos fans were holding onto any hope that young star Tom Dearden would return to the senior line up in 2020 the events of today’s training session at Red Hill would not have been pleasant viewing.

Speaking on The Rush Hour Queenslander Dobbo told listeners that Dearden teammates goodbye in an emotional session which included the sensational moment when the 19-year-old playmaker was approached by a fan for an autograph, originally turning down the fan’s request citing that he no longer played for the club.

“You don’t want me to sign this jersey” Dearden told the fan.

“I’m not a Bronco anymore”

The Rush Hour Queenslander can confirm that the fan’s request was eventually met with a smile.

Dearden signed a three-year deal with the North Queensland Cowboys starting next season but could be granted release to join the club as early as next week according to Dobbo.
