Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) has announced that the Stepping On falls prevention program will be returning to Griffith from Wednesday 17th October.
The program is designed for people living at home who have suffered from serious falls, or have a fear of falling. It includes a 2-hour group that runs weekly for 7 weeks, with a refresher session 2 months later.
The initiative will help participants to develop independence and confidence in their mobility, as well as strength and balance. It will also educate participants on topics such as vision, home hazards and medicines, and provide an opportunity for socialising.
Further information on the Stepping On program can be found at the MLHD website.
